Kratom is an herb that grows in the dense tropical jungles of certain countries in Southeast Asia like Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and more. Initially, we were completely unaware of the herb. It has existed for several centuries, but only came into the limelight a few decades ago. It took us several decades more to learn and discover about it. Thanks to the technological and infrastructural advancements, we have now discovered so much about it.
Now, we are in a good place to share that the herb is primarily categorized into three variants or strains based on the color of the leaf veins, i.e., red, white, and green. Among those strains, the red is more potent followed by white and green. According to the origin location of the kratom plants, they are further classified into scores of variants. As a result, now we have Malay Kratom (from Malaysia), Indo Kratom (from Indonesia), Thai Kratom (from Thailand), Borneo Kratom (from Borneo) and many more.
You may say that apart from red, green, and white there are gold and yellow kratom. Do not be confused, these are a specific kind of kratom products prepared in a unique method which varies from one manufacturer to another. Because of the exclusive manufacturing process, the biochemical composition and the kratom color also changes, acquiring their new names (gold kratom, yellow kratom).
