Kratom is a natural herb that has come from the leaves of the Kratom plants that grow natively in the tropical Jungle of Southeast Asia and Africa. We all know about that part, but what we are not aware of, is the different strains and variants of Kratom and how are they different from each other.
Kratom has several variants based on the colors of their veins and location of origin. They can be of three options depending on their vein-color – Red Vein, Green Vein, and White Vein Kratom. With the difference in colors, there are differences in the biochemical composition of each of the vein strains. As for the origin they are there are numerous.
Though there can be many strains combining the origin and vein-color, we are going to share only the main few and specify the popular veins:
- Bali: Bali Kratom especially the green-vein Bali Kratom is the most popular strain among kratom users. Though called Bali, it doesn’t come from there. It is the use of Bali as the transportation hub for the herb that leads to the name.
- Maeng Da: There are three subcategories of Maeng Da kratom which are red, green and white each with unique properties. Among these three, Red-Vein Maeng Da is extremely popular and recommended by users for daily use followed by green vein.
- Thai: It is primarily referred to an Umbrella strain for several varieties. Among the three veins, enthusiasts with high tolerance levels find white-vein Thai kratom strain ideal and useful.
- Indo/Malay: These strains from the forests of Malaysia and Indonesia rank somewhat the same regarding popularity. In this context, Green Malay worth a special mention.
Depending on the properties and people’s preference, there could be many sub-variants – each varying in popularity.
